JULIA STEPHENS (Sophie / Playwright) is a writer and performer based in Los Angeles and New York City. Her work spans theatre, film, and nonfiction, with essays published in The New York Times. She is currently working on a Paramount+ series while developing new plays. Julia has long created and performed her own work, from digital projects such as Really It’s Rita and Ctrl+Alt+Underground to her current play Roomies, which marks her debut as both playwright and performer on the stage. www.julia-stephens.com​

CREATIVE

PORTIA KRIEGER (Director) has been directing new plays and musicals since 2006. Her artistic stomping grounds include New Georges, Clubbed Thumb, Williamstown Theater Festival, the O'Neill, and Ars Nova. She has directed at 2ST, the O’Neill, Playwrights Horizons, Roundabout, New York Stage & Film, Rattlestick, Page 73, the Lark, the Juilliard School, NYMF, and many others. Currently, she is developing the musical Manifester with Anna K. Jacobs and Rob Rokicki, a solo-ish musical by Susan Bernfield, Rob Jost, and Greta Gertler Gold, titled Available Hooks, and the play The Permanent Collection with Tori Keenan-Zelt and Elinor T Vanderburg. JORDAN MCCREE (Sound Designer) is a sound artist based in Philadelphia. JENNIFER FOK (Lighting Designer) is a queer Chinese - American lighting designer. Her design collaborations center on reimagining classics, exploring new work, and collaborating with artists in the fields of movement, dance, and music. KELLY BARTNIK (Movement Consultant) is an industry leader in Immersive Theater with an extensive ability to produce, write, choreograph, direct , perform and run large scale Immersive Experiences. She is a NY-based choreographer, performer, director, teacher and producer and was an original cast member of both the Boston and NY productions of Sleep No More. She has performed in the Immersive experiences Waking La Llorona and Portaleza, by Optika Moderna and The Unbrunch, created by Cinereal Productions. She also was Movement Director for Optika Moderna’s latest project, Las Quinceañeras. She was the recipient of an evening-length commission by Gibney Dance for the premiere of her latest stage work - Fuck / Love: The Poetics of Adoration. She has taught at Colby College, Queens College, NYU's Playwright’s Horizons Theater School, Emory University, Spelman College and has conducted Immersive performance training at Meow Wolf, Santa Fe. She has directed and choreographed Immersive experiences for Amazon, Tentr, Twitch, and AMC. Kelly is currently mounting new large-scale Immersive productions in both Atlanta and New York called HERE{after} and was recently the Director of the first large-scale Immersive experience called Hotel Wonderland in Amsterdam. She is currently the Producer of the inaugural immersive production by Artemis is Burning called The Death of Rasputin. CARA KIENITZ (Stage Manager) is excited to be working on this production! Some of her previous credits include: Deep Blue Sound, Grief Hotel, Coach Coach, Work Hard Have Fun Make History, Spindle Shuttle Needle, and four years of Winterworks (Clubbed Thumb); Titanique (Daryl Roth Theatre); Galatea (MJ Kaufman); Bruise + Thorn (Pipeline Theatre Company); and the What the Constitution Means to Me tour. LILLY DE LUCIA (Graphic Design) is a Queens-based artist and graphic designer for a restaurant group in Brooklyn including Locanda Vini e Olii in Clinton Hill and Biddrina Gelato, where she is Creative Director. She also designs the menus and weekly DJ event posters for Bed Stuy’s underground HIFI bar, Suono. Her design style is influenced by nostalgia, paper ephemera, collage, and print-making. When she’s not moving tiny pixels around a screen, she loves crafting of all sorts, from making Halloween costumes and subway-tiling her table to sculpting candlestick holders and redesigning book covers. MARYCLARE RAMIREZ (Production Assistant) is a multi-hyphenate recent TCU graduate with her B.F.A. in Theatre, emphasis in Theatre Studies. Professional Credits: Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Sol Project, TV show The Chosen (Talent Coordinator), Casa Mañana (Grease and The Color Purple Asst. Director), and Circle Theatre (Kodachrome Asst. Director). Maryclare is dedicated to creating impactful stories and doing that inspire positivity and empathy.

NATHAN WINOTO (Production Assistant) is a writer and producer born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. A recent graduate of Brown University, he made his Broadway producing debut as a co-producer of John Proctor Is the Villain. He is passionate about unexpected theatrical stories that, by reflecting the world we live in, bring people together. How exciting!

ALLISON PARKER (Producer) is a freelance producer and stage manager based in NYC. With her company, A/Park Productions, Allison has produced shows both in NYC, including most recently THE WHOLE OF TIME at The Brick, as well as at the Edinburgh Fringe with most recent Fringe credits including DO THIS ONE THING FOR ME (Bedlam, 2024), UNSEEN (Zoo Playground, 2024), and FUNNY GUY (Greenside George Street, 2024). Allison took this year off from the Fringe to have a bébé but is excited to return to Edinburgh next year and introduce her new little one to the best arts festival in the world! Allison is thrilled to join this talented group of artists and is excited for what's next for ROOMIES! Love to my boys: Stephen, Desmond and Parker the pup.

SOPHIA ENGLESBERG (Associate Producer, Molly VO) is an actor and producer based in New York City. She holds a BFA in acting from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts and has trained at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her producing credits include: Invasive Species (Off-Broadway) by Maia Novi, REVOLUTION by Brett Neveu at The Flea, THE JAG by Robin Schavoir, A Doll House directed by John Gould Rubin, There are No Diving Pools in Hell by Aliza Jane Cosgrove, and ZOOMERS by Matthew Gasda at The Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research.
